Here  at Paw's Puppy Palace we not only want your dogs to have fun, but we want you to be able to have fun with your dogs too! Our trainers are certified in both e-collar training and AKC Canine Good Citizen training. With a combined total of  5 dogs of their own and over 12 years of experience training dogs. They would love to share their extensive knowledge with you and your dog!

Stay and Train Options

  • EE Basic Obedience ($400)

    • 1 day per week for 4 weeks

    • Covers all basic Obedience skills laid out in Canine Good Citizen Test

      • ie. Sit, Down, Stay, Recall, Place, Loose-leash walking, proper greetings 

    • Does NOT  directly cover nuisance behaviors

      • ie. Excessive barking, chewing/ destructive behaviors, play biting, separation anxiety

    • Includes 4- 1 hr. individual lessons (at pick up on training days) and 1 free CGC test

 

  • EE Intermediate Obedience ($650 + training equipment)

    • 2 days per week for 4 weeks

    • Covers all basic obedience outlined in the “Basic Obedience” course plus nuisance behaviors

      • Basics- Sit, Down, Recall, Place, Loose-leash Walking, Proper Greetings

      • Nuisance Behaviors- excessive barking, chewing/ destructive behaviors, play biting, jumping, digging, separation anxiety

    • Includes 4- 1hr. individual lessons (at pick up on 1 training day per week ), 4 group classes, and 1 free CGC test.

 

  • EE Advanced Obedience ($900 + training equipment)

    • 2 days per week for 6 week

    • Covers all basic obedience outlined in the “Basic Obedience” course plus nuisance behaviors covered in “Intermediate Obedience” course as well as off leash behaviors

      • Basics- Sit, Down, Recall, Place, Loose-leash Walking, Proper Greetings

      • Nuisance Behaviors- excessive barking, chewing/ destructive behaviors, play biting, jumping, digging, separation anxiety

      • Off leash Behaviors- walking, recall, obedience at a distance

      • Includes 6- 1hr. individual lessons (at pick up on training days),4 group classes, and 1 free CGC test.

Boarding School Courses

  • Basic Obedience- 1 Week  ($800 (includes boarding price) additional dogs $700)

    • 5-night stay. Pick-up/ Pick-up lesson on 6th day

    • Covers all basic Obedience skills laid out in Canine Good Citizen Test

      • ie. Sit, Down, Stay, Recall, Place, Loose-leash walking, proper greetings 

    • Does NOT  directly cover nuisance behaviors

  • Intermediate Obedience- 2 Weeks ( $1,350 + training equipment (includes boarding price) additional dogs $1,200)

    • 10-night stay. Pick-up/ Pick-up Lesson on 11th day

    • Covers all basic obedience outlined in the “Basic Obedience” course plus nuisance behaviors

      • Basics- Sit, Down, Recall, Place, Loose-leash Walking, Proper Greetings

      • Nuisance Behaviors- excessive barking, chewing/ destructive behaviors, play biting, jumping, digging, separation anxiety

    • Includes 4- 1hr. individual lessons ( 1 at pick up, 3 scheduled separately), 4 group classes, and 1 free CGC test.

 

  • Advanced Obedience- 3 Weeks ($2,025 +training equipment (includes boarding price) additional dogs $1,825)

    • 15-night stay. Pick-up/ Pick-up lesson on day 16

    • Covers all basic obedience outlined in the “Basic Obedience” course plus nuisance behaviors covered in “Intermediate Obedience” course as well as off leash behaviors

      • Basics- Sit, Down, Recall, Place, Loose-leash Walking, Proper Greetings

  • Quick Trip Refresh ($75/night) (additional dogs $65/ night. includes boarding price)

    • For stays less than 3 nights

    • Only available as an add-on for dogs that have completed another full training course with us (puppy class not included)

Group Classes

All group classes will be held at our facility at 2052 Lamson Rd, Phoenix, NY 13135. Classes will be held outside unless there is inclement weather on the scheduled group class day. So, please dress appropriately. All dogs at group class must be on a non-retractable leash at all times (even if they have been trained to be off-leash through our Advanced Obedience courses). There will be 1 trainer for 10-20 dogs at group class so please be aware that each owner is responsible for themselves and their own dog’s actions. Please be responsible and respectful of others’ space.

  • Follow Up Group (4 free with every full  Intermediate or Advanced training program. $25 per add. class)

    • Offered once a month on a Saturday from 9:30-10:30 am

    • Only offered to individuals who have completed  a full  Intermediate or Advanced training course with us.

    • These classes are designed to refresh/ up-keep on skills learned in individual training courses and to increase your dog’s ability to perform tasks around the distractions of other dogs and people. They ARE NOT  for teaching new skills or dog to dog socialization in the sense that there will be no “free play” time during Follow Up Croup Class sessions.

  • S.T.A.R. Puppy ($150)

    • 6 weeks

    • 3-10 puppies per class

    • Puppies must be between 8-12 weeks old at start of class

    • One 45-60min class per week

The AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy is a program designed to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start. This class teaches you how to best communicate with your puppy and provides an opportunity for your dog to socialize with other dogs. You’ll be able to get information on all of your puppy-raising questions including housetraining, chewing, and the most effective way to teach practical skills such as coming when called

 

  • CGC Testing  (1st attempt always free, $50 per add. test)

    • Offered 2 times a year (Spring (April/May) and Fall (September/October))

    • Only offered to individuals who have completed a full training course with us (Puppy class not included)

 

The American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen test (CGC) is a certification program that evaluates dogs in simulated everyday situations in a relaxed, noncompetitive atmosphere. Dogs that pass the CGC test are considered reliable family and community members and will receive a certificate from the American Kennel Club.

The CGC test evaluates dogs on the following:

  • Greets a friendly stranger

  • Sits politely for petting

  • Welcomes being groomed, brushed; allows paws and ears to be handled

  • Walks as directed on a loose leash

  • Moves politely through a crowd

  • Sits, lies down, and stays in place on command

  • Comes when called

  • Behaves politely around other dogs

  • Reacts with confidence to distractions

  • Can be left with a trusted person

Individual Lessons

  • On-On-One Lessons ($50)

    • Offered only as an add-on to individuals who have completed a full training course with us (Puppy class not included)

    • 45-60 min session. Offered between 9am-4pm on weekdays and 11-2pm on Saturdays

Training

Everyday Etiquette Courses

In our everyday etiquette courses your dog will stay at our facility either 1 or 2 days a week for either 4 or 6 weeks depending on which course you decide to enroll in. Drop off times for Everyday Etiquette courses are between 6:30am and 8:30am on the predetermined day(s) you and your trainer have discussed and agreed upon. Your dog will enjoy time in our playrooms or in an individual bedroom until structured training sessions begin at 9am. All training with these dogs is done between the hours of 9am-4pm. Pick-up lessons will be held from 4-5pm and from 5-6pm as determined by owners and their trainer .

 

What you can expect for your dog on training days:

-A minimum of 4 training sessions per day per dog

-A minimum of 1 video an/or text update per day per dog

-45-60 min individual lesson upon pick-up

Need to board your dog but also want to get them a good education while you are gone? In our Boarding School Courses your dog will get a completely immersive training experience. During their stay, they will receive between 4-6 training sessions a day. Additionally, they will also work on things like door manners, walking on a loose leash, proper greetings of people and other dogs and potty training with every interaction. They say the best way to learn a new language is to immerse yourself in it and that is exactly our aim for your pup in our Boarding School Courses.

 

What you can expect for your dog during Boarding School:

-A minimum of 4 training sessions per day per dog

-A minimum of 1 video or text update per day per dog

-Training done between the hours of 6:30am-9:00pm

- 45-60 min. pick-up lesson held between 9am-3pm on set pick-up day
